nondemand pleasuring

caressing a partner’s body for the sensual pleasure involved, with no expectation of sexual arousal. In sex therapy, this practice, which excludes any touching of breasts or genitals, is often prescribed to eliminate performance anxiety: It allows a couple with a sexual dysfunction to begin to enjoy physical relations with each other without the risk of experiencing another coital failure. Also called nondemanding pleasuring.

research undertaken to assess consumer reactions to new or altered products. Companies often try to carry out this research discreetly so that competitors are unaware of any potential changes.
