neuroleptic syndrome

the series of effects observed in individuals who have taken antipsychotics. It is characterized by reduced motor activity and emotionality, an indifference to external stimuli, and a decreased ability to perform tasks that require good motor coordination. With high doses, patients may become cataleptic.
