The perceived needs are generally assessed from multiple perspectives, including those of community or group leaders and each individual in the community or group. 2. the identification of areas that should be the focus of a personnel training program. Needs assessment involves analyses in three key areas: (a) the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics of employees; (b) the requirements of the tasks performed by employees; and (c) the requirements of the organization.
