motion sickness

a type of discomfort marked by nausea, dizziness, headache, pallor, cold sweats, and in some cases vomiting and prostration. The cause is irregular or abnormal motion that disturbs the normal sense of balance maintained by the semicircular canals of the inner ear. The condition may be aggravated or initiated by an emotional disturbance, such as anxiety or grief. Also called kinesia.
