minor depressive disorder

in an appendix to DSM–IV–TR, a proposed diagnosis of a mood disorder in which an individual experiences persistent sadness or anhedonia and other symptoms similar to major depressive disorder or dysthymic disorder but without meeting the full criteria for either diagnosis. These other symptoms may include appetite, weight, or sleep changes; psychomotor agitation or psychomotor retardation; fatigue or loss of energy; feelings of worthlessness or guilt; difficulty concentrating or making decisions; and recurrent thoughts of death or suicide.
