locomotor play

play that involves exaggerated, repetitious movement and is physically vigorous, such as chasing, climbing, and wrestling. There are three distinctive forms: rhythmic stereotypy, exercise play, and rough-and-tumble play. Locomotor play is one of three traditionally identified basic types of play, the others being object play and social play.
