liking scale

a measure of a person’s degree of attraction to another individual, usually involving a willingness to be in the other’s company as well as a positive evaluation of the other’s personality characteristics. One such scale was published by U.S. social psychologist Zick Rubin (1944–  ) in 1970. Although Rubin distinguished between this measure and his love scale, studies have shown that the two indices are usually positively correlated.
