any significant difficulty with or impairment of language development or function. When the difficulty or impairment is restricted to a specific aspect of language development or a specific language function, it is termed specific language disability. When the difficulty or impairment is more pervasive and not restricted to a particular aspect or function, the term general language disability is used.

The various rules governing how witnesses are questioned and what evidence is admitted into court are examples of the application of procedural justice within the legal system.
