isopropyl alcohol

an isomer of propyl alcohol used as a solvent, antiseptic, and cleaning fluid and as an ingredient in some cosmetics, disinfectants, and topical medications. If ingested, it has initial effects similar to those of ethanol, but it is extremely toxic.
