interhemispheric transfer

the transfer of memory traces or learning experiences from one cerebral hemisphere to the other. Interhemispheric transfer can be demonstrated with experiments using laboratory animals and can be observed in humans who transfer handedness from the right to the left hand, or vice versa, following an injury or loss of a hand.
