integrative complexity

the extent to which an attitude object is considered to have both positive and negative features and the extent to which these features are seen as related to one another. Low integrative complexity occurs when an attitude object is seen exclusively in positive or negative terms. Moderate integrative complexity occurs when the object is seen as having both positive and negative features, but these features are seen as having little relation to one another. High integrative complexity occurs when the positive and negative features are seen as related to one another.
