precognition

n. in parapsychology, the purported ability to see or experience future events through some form of extrasensory perception. In a test of precognition, the participant would be asked to predict the outcome of a future set of trials involving Zener cards or similar stimulus materials. Compare retrocognition. See also forward displacement. —precognitive adj.
