intrapersonal intelligence

in the multiple-intelligences theory, the intelligence involved in self-understanding and in reflecting upon oneself, one’s skills, one’s motives, and so forth. Intrapersonal intelligence is alleged to be relatively independent of other intelligences posited by the theory.
