indirect attitude measure

any procedure for assessing attitudes that does not require a person to provide a report of his or her attitude. Nontraditional approaches to attitude measurement, such as the lost letter procedure and the error-choice technique, are examples. See also explicit attitude measure; implicit attitude measure.
