hemorrhagic stroke

hemorrhagic stroke

a stroke resulting from rupture of a cerebral vessel, causing intracranial bleeding. Intracerebral hemorrhage accounts for approximately 10% of strokes and tends to occur deep in the basal ganglia, internal capsule, and brainstem.
