Fullerton–Cattell law

a psychophysical generalization regarding the difference threshold, stating that errors of observation are proportional to the square root of the magnitude of the stimulus. The Fullerton–Cattell law was proposed in 1892 as a replacement for Weber’s law. [George S. Fullerton (1859–1925), U.S. philosopher; James McKeen Cattell]
