foreskin

n. a loose fold of skin that normally covers the glans penis but can retract during erection or coitus. It is a continuation of the skin covering the rest of the penis. It is synonymous with prepuce, a term also used to denote the clitoral hood. Also called preputium penis. See also circumcision.
