belladonna poisoning

poisoning due to ingestion of berries of the belladonna plant, Atropa belladonna (also called deadly nightshade). These contain atropine, which paralyzes the parasympathetic nervous system. The symptoms include visual hallucinations, mutism, dilated pupils, unresponsiveness, and disorientation.
