implicit leadership theories

implicit leadership theories

perceivers’ general assumptions about the traits, characteristics, and qualities that distinguish leaders from the people they lead. Like the leadership theories developed by psychologists, these cognitive frameworks tend to include lawlike generalities about leadership and more specific hypotheses about the types of qualities that characterize most leaders. However, unlike scientific theories, they are based on intuition and personal experience and are usually not stated openly.
