Hotelling’s T 2 test

a multivariate analysis of variance used to test the significance of the mean difference between two groups in their scores or outcomes on multiple dependent variables. An extension of the univariate t test, it is applicable to only two groups, rather than three or more groups. Also called Hotelling’s T2; T-squared test. [Harold Hotelling (1895–1973), U.S. mathematician]
