homonymous hemianopia

homonymous hemianopia

the loss of sight in the same half of the visual field of each eye (i.e., the left half of the visual field of both the left and right eyes, or vice versa) caused by injury to the postchiasmatic visual system (see postchiasmatic visual deficit). See also hemianopia.
