home-service agency

a group (e.g., a public health, social service, or voluntary organization) that provides home health aides or homemaker home health aides for people with mental or physical disabilities. The personnel generally are paraprofessionals who are recruited, trained, and supervised by another agency, such as a visiting nurse association or a hospital with a home-care unit.
