holistic education

a form of psychotherapy, derived from the approach of holistic health, in which the therapist serves as a teacher and the client as student. The therapist aims to create conditions in which the student may choose to learn. For maximum growth, all aspects of the client’s physical, spiritual, emotional, and intellectual life are explored and developed. [developed by U.S. psychologist William C. Schutz (1925–2002)]
