heat exhaustion

a condition resulting from exposure to excessive heat. Dehydration and salt depletion in the body cause such symptoms as headaches, weakness, dizziness, and blurred vision. Heat exhaustion typically is temporary and not life threatening because it does not involve elevation of body temperature, as occurs in heatstroke.
