sexual harassment

sexual harassment

conduct of a sexual nature that is unwelcome or considered offensive, particularly in the workplace. According to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, there are two forms of sexual harassment: quid pro quo and behavior that makes for a hostile work environment. In the United States, under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, an employee subjected to sexual harassment is entitled to sue employers. See also Harris v.
