femininity complex

in psychoanalytic theory, a man’s envy of women’s procreative powers that has its roots in the young boy’s envy of the mother’s body. Some psychoanalysts see the femininity complex as the male counterpart to the female castration complex and penis envy. [first used in 1930 by German psychoanalyst Felix Boehm (1881–1958)]
