feeding problem

a form of behavior disorder in children that is characterized by refusal to eat, persistent failure to eat adequate amounts or types of food, or failure to hold down the food ingested. It is not due to a gastrointestinal or other medical condition or lack of available food, and it is not an eating disorder. Also called feeding disturbance. Compare oral–motor feeding problem. See also rumination.

an instrument used to measure the relative impact of diverse stress-producing life experiences, changes, and crises. The derived score is expressed in life-change units. The scale is more formally known as the Social Readjustment Rating Scale. [developed in 1967 by U.S. psychiatrists Thomas H. Holmes and Richard H. Rahe]
