ethical dilemma

ethical dilemma

a situation in which two moral principles conflict with one another. Fictional or hypothetical dilemmas of this kind are often used to assess the moral beliefs or moral reasoning skills of individuals. Also called moral dilemma. See Heinz dilemma.
