emmetropia

n. the state of the eye’s normal optical system, in which distant objects are sharply focused on the retina by the curvature of the cornea and the lens. This normal optical system is said to be emmetropic. Compare hyperopia; myopia.

point scale

any scale for measuring some construct or attribute in which participants’ responses to a series of multiple-choice questions are given numerical values (points). The final score is the total points earned. See also Likert scale; semantic differential.
