elevated maze

a maze consisting of paths formed by elevated, flat runways without side walls, placed far enough apart that an individual within it cannot jump across the gaps. An incorrect choice within the maze leads to a cul-de-sac, signified by the end of an arm and open space. It is one of two primary types of maze, the other being an alley maze.
