electromagnetic spectrum

electromagnetic spectrum

the range of wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation from gamma rays (very short waves) to radio waves (very long waves). The human eye is sensitive to only a narrow range of wavelengths of approximately 400 to 700 nm. See spectrum.
