dorsolateral column

dorsolateral column

a tract of motor fibers that descend in the dorsolateral part of the spinal cord, terminating on motor neurons. The cell bodies of these fibers lie in the motor cortex, and the fibers descend on the same side until they cross over (decussate) at the pyramids of the medulla oblongata.
