distributed actions theory

a model of leadership that assumes that group effectiveness and member satisfaction increase when certain key functions of a leader, such as decision making, task orientation, initiating structure, and the improvement of intermember relations, are not the sole responsibility of the leader but are instead distributed throughout the group.
