distributed actions theory

a model of leadership that assumes that group effectiveness and member satisfaction increase when certain key functions of a leader, such as decision making, task orientation, initiating structure, and the improvement of intermember relations, are not the sole responsibility of the leader but are instead distributed throughout the group. adj. complete or all encompassing. For example, a set of 13 hearts, 13 spades, 13 diamonds, 13 clubs, and two jokers forms an exhaustive set of all possible playing cards that could be drawn.
