direct replication

the process of repeating a study with different data under similar conditions, or of conducting several different studies with the same data. Direct replication is useful for establishing that the findings of the original study are reliable (see reliability). In contrast, systematic replication uses a different data set and also adjusts the conditions in specific ways.
