diplopia

n. a visual disorder in which images from the two eyes are seen separately and simultaneously. Diplopia is usually due to weak or paralyzed eye muscles, resulting in a failure of coordination and focus. It may also be a functional symptom or result from brain injury (cerebral diplopia). See also double vision.
