day habilitation
a home and community-based service provided for a person with an intellectual or developmental disability. This service provides productive daily schedules of activity based on individualized support planning, including clinical services, companion services, socialization, recreation, vocational development, and lifestyle enrichment. In practice, these services may be delivered on a person-by-person basis or in small groups in any location during daytime hours.
