cystathioninuria

n. an inherited disorder of amino acid metabolism marked by deficiency of the enzyme cystathionase. The effects include vascular, skeletal, and ocular abnormalities. Intellectual disability occurs in less than 50% of cases, often accompanied by behavioral disorders. Also called gamma-cystathionase deficiency.
