cybernetic epistemology

a study that addresses the philosophical issues of epistemology in terms of cybernetics, often by making use of computational knowledge representation and other techniques of artificial intelligence. Grounding (how a system incorporates meaning into its problem solving), scaffolding (how a system uses its world as an essential component of its problem solving), and embodiment (how a system is defined as part of, and integrated into, an environment) are essential components of this study.
