cued panic attack

a panic attack that occurs almost invariably upon exposure to, or in anticipation of, a specific situational trigger. For example, an individual with social phobia may have a panic attack as a result of just thinking about an upcoming presentation. Also called situationally bound panic attack. See also situationally predisposed panic attack. Compare uncued panic attack.
