controlled-exposure technique

a method of pretesting advertising effectiveness by presenting advertisements to a limited audience. Several variations of the advertisement may be tested using tachistoscopes, hidden cameras, galvanic skin response equipment to detect physiological reactions, and questionnaire surveys of the potential consumer responses.
