conceptual dependency

a formalized semantic network designed for use in computer programs to capture and understand the conceptual relationships of sentences in natural (human) language. There are four primitive (or atomic) components of this network: actions, objects (picture producers), modifiers of actions, and modifiers of objects. See also computational linguistics.
