comprehensive functional assessment

an assessment that is broad in scope, often implemented by an interdisciplinary team, and most frequently focuses on a person with intellectual or developmental disabilities. It typically incorporates findings regarding specific developmental strengths and individual preferences, specific functional and adaptive social skills that the individual needs to learn, the nature of any presenting disabilities and their causes, and the need for a wide range of services.
