cluster suicide

a statistically high occurrence of suicides within a circumscribed geographic area, social group, or time period. Cluster suicides have been identified involving adolescents, factory workers, and dispersed individuals who imitated the suicide of an admired role model as described by the media (see Werther syndrome).
