clairvoyance
n. in parapsychology, the alleged ability to see things beyond the normal range of sight, such as distant or hidden objects or events in the past or future. Clairvoyance is supposedly an organic ability, whereas remote viewing is a planned activity, with rules and standards, in which clairvoyance may be used to see or sense things (events, thoughts, locations, etc.) from a distance.
