cervical plexus

a nerve network formed from the ventral roots of the upper four cervical nerves. This plexus is anesthetized for surgical operations in the region between the jaw and the collarbone.

a general term for any disorder involving one or more components of the respiratory system, such as the diaphragm, lungs, trachea, larynx, or nasal cavities. See also asthma; chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
