n. any flexible tubular instrument inserted into a body cavity to introduce or remove fluids or to keep a body passage open. A catheter may be indwelling, if required for a long period of time, or temporary.

Kruskal–Shepard scaling

a type of multidimensional scaling applied to judgments of similarity or dissimilarity for pairs of items (e.g., cities). The dissimilarities are represented by distances between items in a highly dimensional space: Larger distances indicate greater dissimilarity.
