Capgras syndrome

a condition characterized by an individual’s delusional belief that loved ones (e.g., spouse, children, parents) have been replaced by doubles or impostors. This type of misidentification syndrome may be associated with paranoid schizophrenia, a neurological disorder, or a mood disorder. Also called illusion of doubles.
