bulbocavernosus muscle

bulbocavernosus muscle

a muscle of the perineum in men and women, which constricts the urethra. It therefore accelerates the passage of urine in both sexes and aids ejaculation in men; in women, it also serves as a weak vaginal sphincter. Also called bulbospongiosus muscle.
