Brissaud’s infantilism

a developmental anomaly in which infantile mental and physical characteristics continue past puberty. The condition is due to the result of faulty functioning of the thyroid gland. Also called infantile myxedema; Brissaud–Meige syndrome. [Edouard Brissaud (1852–1909) and Henry Meige (1866–1940), French physicians]
