biperiden

biperiden

n. a synthetic anticholinergic drug closely related to trihexyphenidyl but having greater affinity for nicotinic receptors than for muscarinic receptors, compared with trihexyphenidyl. It is used to manage symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and parkinsonian symptoms induced by antipsychotic drugs. U.S. trade name: Akineton.
